Description

Earthwork Inspectors performing testing on the Florida Department of Transportation roadway projects are required to be formally qualified. This qualification process involves passing the Department's Earthwork Construction Inspector Level I (ECI 1) written and proficiency exams.

In roadway construction it is imperative that the quality of the work performed beneath the roadway, for its "foundation", equals that of the roadway construction itself. After all, a structure is only as good as its foundation.

Adherence to roadway construction standards and specifications, combined with a strong Quality Assurance (QA) program, will ensure that the State of Florida receives the quality of workmanship it pays for.

This course was designed for those personnel who have very little or a basic understanding of earthwork inspection testing.

The CTQP Instructor-Led course and exams have been updated since the creation of this CBT. While most information contained in this training is still correct and current, some changes and updates have been made and the exams changed to reflect the recent course changes (as was announced on the CTQP website).
